Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club
Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong
We've maintained a strong and supportive presence at Clear Water Bay Golf & Country Club since 2006, having persevered and delivered many successful jobs to the highest standard.
We've undertaken tasks that range from lake renovations, curbing installation, driving range poles, drainage works, golf hole modifications, general golf course renovation and modification works, demolitions, and driving range constructions, amongst others.
That’s a whole range of projects, under us, over the years.
The Academy Course
The Academy Course is one of several major projects (in a long line of improvement works) we've been honoured to handle for Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club.
The course is an Asian pioneer in the use of artificial synthetic greens. Synthetic greens offer high quality and near natural performance for a fraction of the maintenance upkeep, rising up to the standards of both the golfers and the clubs requirements over the years ahead.

The courses' layout is unique in which it allows for ‘soccer golf’ and ‘frisbee golf’ to be played (not just everyones favourite classic—golf) while at the same time providing an opportunity for a blend between technology and agronomy.

Situated near the academy is the Oasis bar and restaurant, where players can go to enjoy a good view of the perfect lawn, playground, academy greens, and Tong Lung island ahead.

It’s clear that the Academy is a course that can be enjoyed not just by beginners, but by family-oriented players and the public of Hong Kong.
Marina Club Entertainment and Events Center
We didn't just cover earthworks, shaping, drainage, features construction, irrigation, synthetic grassing, and surveying for the Marina lawn renovation project. We worked extensively on every aspect you can think of when it comes to preparing a new events area. It's not everyday a new space opens up in an established club for a new project, and we made sure the new addition was exactly what the client wanted.
The entertainment area provided an extra way for Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club to provide space for weddings, celebrations, parties, and more (for members)—making it a great addition to a family-friendly golf club.
Hoi An, Vietnam
Set against a spectacular coastline and unspoiled natural terrain, Hoiana Shores brought the design genius of Robert Trent Jones Jr. to Vietnam for the very first time. Offering majestic views of the Eastern Sea and Cham Islands, Hoiana Shores Golf Club (HSGC) offers a thrilling links golf experience for golfers of all levels.

With a spectacular natural seaside setting, a luxurious clubhouse and 18 challenging-yet-rewarding holes, this is a must-play course for any golf enthusiasts visiting the region.We covered surveying, cut and fill, rough shaping, drainage, HDPE liner installation for feature lakes and waterways, irrigation, and more during our time building the course from the ground-up.
Vung Tàu, Vietnam
The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip is a Greg Norman designed golf course located on the southern Vietnamese coastline, approximately 80 kilometres southeast of the capital, Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam. The uniquely designed links style par-71 golf course was named “Best New Course of 2014” by industry bible Golf Digest and was rated #74 in the 2016 Golf Digest Global Top 100 golf courses. It is an exceptional course that is internationally recognised and held in high esteem for many golfers.

As the main contractor, we worked closely with course designer Greg Norman and consultants from IMG Golf Course Services in order to create this masterpiece. It is built on a coastal plateau elevated 50 meters above sea-level, with salty sea breezes often flowing onto the site (a benefit granted from its unique geographical layout). The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip features towering dunes near the sea with hole routing allowing for increased challenge for even the best of golfers, thanks to the seaside winds. Next to the course is The Grand Ho Tram Strip golf resort which is a 5-star hotel featuring a casino, making this course the first in Vietnam to combine a casino, resort and golf course all at once.
Da Nang, Vietnam
Ba Na Hills Golf Club was Luke Donald’s first design project, and we've contributed to various renovation projects under the management of IMG for the course. This internationally recognised course features 18 holes, stretching over 7,800 yards—making it Vietnam’s longest course with low winds for pleasurable plays.

Since its completion, multiple awards have been presented to Ba Na Hills Golf Course and Club. Notable accolades include Best Golf Course in Asia and Best Golf Course in Vietnam from World Golf Awards in 2021, 2020 and 2018. In 2020, it was ranked the 89th top golf course in the world by Golf Digest Magazine.
Discovery Bay Golf Course and Club
DB Lan Tau Island, Hong Kong
Discovery Bay Golf Club is set against the mountainous backdrop of Lantau Island, one of the many islands which dot around Hong Kong. It boasts three unique layouts, the Diamond, Jade, and Ruby nines—and the original 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
The course was originally constructed to be wholly reliant on external water suppliers, however we came up with an idea to re-engineer the surface water catchment. After approval, we constructed the rest of the system involved for this unique course. As a result, Discovery Bay Golf Club significantly reduced water consumption of potable water. We didn't just do the job, we aimed to create opportunities to enhance the delivery.
Within Southeast Asia, the Golf Club has established itself as one of the best golf courses to play on. In 2021, the course won first as Hong Kong’s Best Golf Course (World Golf Awards).
Laguna Lang Co Golf Club
Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam
Laguna Golf Lang Co is an 18-hole par-71 championship course designed by the prestigious Sir Nick Faldo, measuring just over 7,000 yards while featuring a beginners 5,263 yards play-friendly area starting from the front tees. The course gives players at all levels the confidence that they can expect to thoroughly enjoy the various areas presented—while being able to leave with the feeling of joy from losing themsleves in a world-class golf course.
We executed all the major engineering works, including site clearance and preparation, bulk cut and fill, rough shaping and more. The design features gorgeous ocean views, sand dunes, rice paddies, rock features, and an exotic mountainous backdrop that provides a diverse arena of play.
Laguna Lang Co was named Best New Golf Course in the Asia Pacific in 2013 by Asian Golf Monthly and Best Luxury Golf Resort in Asia from World Luxury Awards 2020 (amongst several other awards).
Da Lai Golf and Country Club
Hanoi, Vietnam
Da Lai Championship Golf Course is located 1 hour north of Hanoi towards Hanoi International airport, near the valley of the Ngoc Thanh Mountain and beautiful Dai Lai lake. The course, designed and constructed by us, features 18 holes and is a welcome challenge for golfers of all levels and backgrounds. We were responsible for all aspects of the construction, and worked with international suppliers which ensured materials were top-quality.

The par-72, 7,003 yards long, professional course connects play with nature, featuring a beautiful natural backdrop complementing anyones game. Water features are an active part of most of the plays available. Coupled with the altitude changes, special playing conditions are manifested due to the seasonal changes brought about by the warm summer days and cold wintery months. This makes revisiting the course a must for golfers aiming for the full experience.
Pakuwon Golf and Family Club
Surabaya, Indonesia
Pakuwon Golf & Family Club is a half hour drive away from the city centre Surabaya, and upon arrival the distinctive and tasteful design of the club and course stand out—immersing golfers and vacationers alike with a ‘Lost City’ atmosphere.

Our company was responsible for end-to-end delivery of 12 holes to meet USGA requirements, undertaking the course design, site preparation, bulk cut & filling, shaping and final manicuring.
​
Our values of quality and efficiency allowed this project to be completed successfully to a high standard. The popular Pakuwon course is an executive Par 3, fully flood-lit for night golfing, and includes an integrated full driving range. The night course is one of the top golf courses in East Java, and the only to allow for after dusk play.
Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Golf Course
Sai Kung, Hong Kong
The East Course, one of the most popular destinations at Hong Kong’s award-winning golf course Kau Sai Chau, is located in a magnificent and stunning position with undulating hilly views surrounded by the waters of the South China Sea.
The image strikes a moody and thoughtful attitude to players who arrive, and the plays are complimented by the efficient and well-run golf system at Kau Said Chau. It's a challenging course that leaves players with a feeling of satisfaction—celebrated by the gorgeous backdrop. We brought the east course to life, from idea to fruition, following the designs of Nelson & Haworth Golf Course Architects.

This course has won Best Public Golf Course in Asia Pacific from Asian Golf Awards for multiple years since completion, and we expect it to keep winning the hearts of players... even as time passes on.
The Dunes
Da Nang, Vietnam
BRG Da Nang Golf Resort opened in 2010 and quickly rose to be "one of the 15 best new courses in the world" (USA Golf Magazine). The course is located 20 minutes away from Da Nang Airport, and 20 minutes from Hoian.
As the main contractor, we had to deal with incredibly unique challenges; some of which included the clearance of mines and 'unexploded' bombs.
Measuring a full 7,160 yards, the course features sculpted bunkering, shaped putting greens, and large natural waste areas cut directly from the surrounding sand dunes.

BRG Da Nang Golf Resort’s Greg Norman designed 18-hole course is links style golf in the truest sense. The course was subsequently named "Best Course in Asia" by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In Golf Digest 2012 it was also awarded Best Golf Course in Vietnam and landed an IAGTO Diamond Award in 2014. Following up to 2022, despite plenty of time passing since conception it was still named as part of the top 10 best golf courses in Vietnam by Vietnam Golf and Leisure Awards.

Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club
Hanoi, Vietnam
As the main contractor behind the full renovation of the 9-hole A Course, we were responsible for reshaping greens, tees, and fairways to enhance the challenge for members.
The Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club went on to host the Carlsberg Masters in Vietnam, which was the first professional golf tournament to be held in the country.

Playing conditions are fantastic all-year round, and this is guaranteed by the Tiff Eagle grass greens’ smooth and fast putting surfaces—offering visitors of every type the opportunity to compete on quality ground.
The course is constructed in a beautiful valley near rolling forest hills, with several creeks, lakes, and natural bodies of water.
Agalarov Estate Golf and Country Club
Moscow, Russia
With only 15 of us travelling all the way to Russia, our team constructed meandering and graceful streams throughout the Agalarov Golf and Country Club Course, sprinkler systems, as well as various uniquely designed waterfalls in different locations for quaint viewing pleasure. We took care of leveling, excavation, installations, and everything required to build the enrapturing rivers and lakes.
The Agalarov Estate is one of the most exclusive gated communities in Russia, boasting its own beach resort fully equipped and completed with imported white sand and cozy cabanas perfect for summer dacha vacations.

All the pines seen on the course were grown in a nursery before being transplanted to the site, and the estate also features an equestrian centre, clay tennis courts, riding paths, a spa, gymnasium, and more.
Close to the 18-hole golf course is the majestic River Belyana. The river is utilised to supply the various branches of small lakes and ponds located near most of the holes and our water features.
We installed a continuously running water system, where water flows throughout the entire course and restarts back at the lake.
Training College
Hoi An South Development
Thang Binh and Duy Xuyen District, Vietnam
Linksshape is proud to share our part in the construction of the charity-driven practice Green Tees and Bunkers for Hoi An South Development. The donated project will enable locals in Vietnam, Hoi An, to have the opportunity and choice to take on different educational and practical courses related to golf course maintenance. This provides more job opportunities for locals in the area to further develop careers which would help contribute to the economy, as well as provide opportunities for those within the community to grow their careers and have the chance to find new types of work.
The pictures you can see here are different aerial drone shots of the college and you can see the chipping green, bunker and tee from start to finish. This training college will also include golf course maintenance, house keeping, gaming and food/beverage courses. Linksshape worked closely with STS, with our company having installed all the earthworks and STS in charge of the irrigation.

Clear Water Bay Golf and Country Club Driving Range
Sai Kung, Hong Kong
For loyal members, one of the most important parts of a golf course is the driving range.
We undertook building a new lake and re-working the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club driving range—and we delivered.
We're aware that all projects come with challenges to overcome, but this featured some incredible surprises (and we're not afraid to share). From consistently bad weather all the way to a rare super typhoon, we worked around the clock to ensure the project arrived as the client expected.
Thanks to the team, we pulled through to deliver a fully renovated golf course driving range—at an international standard of quality.

While handling this project, we also installed 7 artificial greens, a brand new cart path, a hole 15 pro tee, and successfully lined with a concreted depth border (amongst other deliverables) all while moving towards finishing construction of the driving range.
By sharing this, we aim to demonstrate the fact that we have always been more than capable at submitting work at the quality our clients desire.
